The Dixon Correctional Center is a medium security adult male facility totaling 1,109,711 SF in a 138-building complex. The residence and recreation buildings are brick masonry single story and were built in the late 1930’s with subsequent renovations in the 1980’s and 1990’s. The building (BC118) is a two-story building constructed in 1969 and contains classrooms, a chapel, a law library, a theater, and a pool that is no longer used.
The work included replacement of approximately 116,017 SF of both steep and flat roofing systems on seven buildings, including new shingles, EPDM membrane roofing, insulation, flashing, trim and all necessary accessories. The work also provides for minor wood deck and joist replacement, minor tuck-pointing and brick replacement, and replacing exterior sealants at stone coping joints.
