Path Construction’s Southwest teams recently completed Safety Stand-Downs at jobsites in Las Vegas, Nevada; Phoenix, Arizona; and Arvada, Colorado.
Safety Stand-Downs provide project teams with dedicated time to pause work and focus on the conditions and practices that affect safety each day. Teams reviewed key safety procedures, discussed conditions specific to their jobsites and reinforced expectations for maintaining a safe working environment.
“The moment you notice an unsafe condition, pause work and hold a stand-down. Address the issue in the moment and make it a learning experience for the entire team. Taking action in the moment can help to avoid catastrophic injuries on your site.” – David Nelson, Safety Manager
Bringing project teams together for these discussions creates an opportunity to identify potential hazards, address concerns and reinforce the responsibility every person on site shares in working safely.
Safety remains a daily priority across Path Construction projects. These stand-downs support that commitment by creating focused opportunities for teams to discuss safe work practices and apply them directly to the work taking place on site.
