This historic Georgian Revival-style home, spanning 30,000 square feet, has been transformed into a sophisticated banquet and retreat center. Throughout the renovation, historical background checks were meticulously conducted to ensure that all materials met preservation standards. Construction was carefully managed to allow uninterrupted operations of the facility.
The scope of work included a complete slate roof replacement, featuring the installation of copper snow guards and a newly restored cupola. To protect winter work, a tent was erected over the roof, ensuring progress despite the weather. Additionally, seven chimneys were rebuilt or repaired, and the removed slate and brick materials were diligently recycled for reuse, aligning with sustainability goals. These thoughtful upgrades preserved the home’s historical character while enhancing its functionality for contemporary use.
