This beautiful 30,000 Square Foot retail building was constructed in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood at the busiest intersection in the city. Path Construction provided extensive Pre-Construction services during the design phase and worked closely with the City of Chicago Buildings department during permitting. During demolition, Path Construction could detach the billboard from the roof of the existing building and secure it to a new temporary steel mounting system with concrete footings. Once stabilized, Path erected the new two-story retail structure around the billboard and then reattached it to the roof of the new building. This effort was undertaken not to violate the billboard’s grandfathered status with the City of Chicago.
