Path Construction replaced three aging steam boilers at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant with 75,000 lb/hr co-fired digester gas and natural gas units. Path installed a new redundant 200,000 lb/hr deaerator with four feedwater pumps. The project also included a new air compressor system, orifice plate steam meters, updated MCCs, and modifications to DCS controls for both existing and new boilers. All work was carefully phased around active plant operations to maintain continuous service, requiring precise coordination and scheduling. The project enhanced plant efficiency, reliability, and operational flexibility, ensuring uninterrupted wastewater treatment while modernizing critical infrastructure and supporting long-term performance at one of the nation’s most extensive water reclamation facilities.
