The project involved renovating an existing 25,000 SF office building to serve as the new Police and Fire Department Headquarters. Work included refurbishing woodwork, cabinetry, and flooring; installing new doors, hardware, and acoustic ceilings; and constructing new offices, interrogation rooms, and meeting spaces. Challenges included working within the existing building envelope while maintaining structural integrity, integrating modern security systems into an older facility, and sequencing trades to minimize disruption to ongoing operations. The project balanced preserving existing finishes with installing new infrastructure to meet the operational needs of both police and fire departments.
