The renovation of the east portion of the Unit J Building at Read Mental Health Center
encompassed approximately 10,460 SF on the first floor and a mechanical housing system.
The project included site preparation, hazardous materials abatement, selective demolition,
new exterior walls, advanced heating and ventilation systems, electrical upgrades, technology
and security enhancements, fire protection sprinklers, and modern finishes. In the occupied
southwest section, targeted demolition and refurbishment, and created dedicated spaces for
patient evaluations and staff support.
