Mark Sheridan Math & Science Academy recently expanded its campus with a new 9,000-square-foot annex, which included a state-of-the-art gymnasium and a cutting-edge STEM classroom. This modern addition was inaugurated at the start of the 2018 academic year and significantly enhanced the school’s facilities. The new gymnasium supported a wide range of physical education and athletic programs. At the same time, the STEM classroom provided students with advanced resources and technology for hands-on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
In addition to the annex, the Public Building Commission (PBC) completed several other upgrades at Sheridan Academy. These improvements included the installation of a new, accessible elevator to enhance mobility throughout the building, significant enhancements to the parking lot for better traffic flow and safety, and the addition of beautifully landscaped green spaces. Ornamental fencing was added to enrich the campus aesthetic and security, and a new turf play area was constructed to offer students a modern, durable space for recreational activities and physical education.
