IDOT Beardstown

IDOT Beardstown

Project Summary

Path Construction rehabilitated the 3,700-foot Beardstown Bridge over the Illinois River, extending its service life by at least 5 years. The project included deck patching, joint replacements, and structural steel repairs. Hard-to-reach steel areas were accessed using a specialized Snooper truck, and construction was carefully coordinated on the other side of the river. Multiple concrete pours were completed, with schedule adjustments to address additional steel deterioration. Traffic control measures ensured safe and uninterrupted travel for daily commuters, commercial vehicles, and emergency services. Path Construction delivered a durable, high-performing bridge that improved structural integrity, enhanced safety, and supported continued reliable operations along this critical transportation corridor.
