Chuckey-Doak High School

Chuckey-Doak High School

Project Summary

This project entails the development and construction of a significant expansion to Chuckey Doak High School, focused on enhancing the institution’s educational offerings. The planned addition will encompass approximately 27,514 square feet of modern classroom and laboratory space specifically designed to support and expand the school’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. This new facility will serve as a state-of-the-art learning environment, fully equipped to foster hands-on learning and skill development across a variety of technical fields.

The design of the expansion will seamlessly integrate with the existing school infrastructure, carefully adhering to the current architectural style and ensuring a cohesive, unified appearance. Great attention will be paid to maintaining the visual and functional harmony between the new and existing structures, enhancing both the aesthetic appeal and usability of the school campus.

One of the key considerations for this project is that Chuckey Doak High School will remain fully operational throughout the construction process. To ensure minimal disruption to students, faculty, and staff, designated construction zones will be clearly marked and cordoned off from active school areas. These zones will house essential construction operations, including temporary offices, storage containers, and parking. Additionally, a lay-down yard will be established for the safe and organized storage of materials and equipment.
