Path completed the renovation and modification of four roadway bridges spanning the Cal-Sag Channel. This complex project required working from the waterway to access the bridges’ supporting structures. A primary focus was on maintaining the historic integrity of the bridges while performing extensive repairs. The scope included targeted concrete removal and the complete renovation of the concrete roadway decks. Critical concrete restoration was performed on the supporting structures. Environmental and structural improvements involved the removal of lead paint, followed by the re-coating of the bridge steel structure, alongside the repair of gusset plate connections. Finally, the project ensured long-term functionality with necessary lighting repairs and crucial joint repairs. This comprehensive effort restored the structural health and longevity of these vital waterway crossings.
