Located on the lower level of the new Dining District at Simon’s Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL, this project involved the build-out of an 8,000 SF salon space with an exterior wall infill. The facility features 34 cutting stations and nine treatment rooms, complete with full mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and custom millwork installations. Construction was completed one month ahead of schedule while the shopping center remained fully operational. Challenges included complex HVAC installation requiring precise in-ceiling routing with base building utilities, integrating imported finish materials, and installing custom furniture and millwork fabricated in Milan, Italy. The team also managed logistics for adjacent tenants and public access, ensuring safe and uninterrupted operations throughout the construction period.
