Path Construction completed extensive renovations at the Hotel Florence, a 23,000-square-foot historic building located in Chicago’s Pullman Historic District. The project included the installation of a new slate roof on the Main Hotel and modified bituminous roofing on the East Wing. Exterior improvements featured wood repairs, painting, and art glass restoration. Interior upgrades encompassed basement excavation for a lowered floor slab and new exterior stairwells, installation of a hydraulic elevator and shaft, and the addition of new toilet rooms on the basement and first floors. First-floor finishes were repaired and restored, and mechanical systems were enhanced with new ducted ventilation, electrical upgrades, and sprinkler modifications. These renovations preserved the building’s historic character while enhancing its functionality for future use.
