CPS George Washington High School
The George Washington High School project consisted of a 73,300 SF roof replacement, a new student weight room, pool chemical storage, and kitchen decommissioning.
An old cafeteria was renovated into a new weight room. Existing woof flooring & concrete sub floor were removed allowing for new concrete subfloor and athletic flooring to be installed. Additional weight room scope included removal of old steam radiators, installation of a new RTU & all duct work, new LED lighting, laminated mirrors, sound panels, doors, TVs & soundbars, masonry infills, and painting.
Old chemical storage rooms were renovated with new flooring, paint, and new duct work to connect to a new exhaust fan for increased ventilation. Additional work included new flooring, paint, and electrical panel & junction box replacement.
An old culinary arts room was decommissioned. All old kitchen equipment, including stoves, dishwashers, and exhaust hoods, were diconnected and removed. Additional scope included floor & ceiling abatement, painting, new unit ventilators, ACT ceiling, VCT flooring, doors, and light fixtures.
