Path Construction Plays Vital Role in the Creation of Lake County Regional Operations Facility – A Hub for Enhanced Emergency Services

Construction is underway on the Lake County Regional Operations Facility project in Libertyville, IL. For more than a decade, many public safety entities providing service in Lake County have been exploring the possibility of consolidating public safety answering points (PSAPs) to enhance 9-1-1 service in the area. The new 37,500 SF multi-agency emergency dispatch center will do just that! It will house a consolidated PSAP, the Lake County Emergency Management Agency (LCEMA) including the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and the Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB).

This all-electric building is targeting both LEED certification and Net Zero Energy, utilizing in-ground wells, photovoltaic arrays, and passive security improvements. The facility will consume no more energy than is produced from renewable sources, distributing energy and redundancies to improve its disaster resiliency. Everything will be powered by geothermal energy from the Earth and solar power from the sun, all with real-time energy usage tracking.

Path Construction is honored to be a part of bringing this major milestone project to fruition. The Lake County Regional Operations Facility will bring together highly trained experts and state-of-the-art technology to coordinate resources, information, and emergency communications, all under one roof!
