Our Story

Richard Krause is a seasoned leader in the construction industry with experience spanning multiple trades and sectors. Beginning his career at a young age, Ric gained hands-on expertise in concrete, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing, providing him with a solid foundation in construction that has informed his strategic leadership throughout his career.

Ric holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, where he specialized in Structural and Soil Engineering. While at U of I, he contributed to the development of innovative courses aimed at advancing the education of graduate engineers.

He launched his professional career at Walsh Construction Company, where he quickly rose to an executive position within the Building Division in Chicago. Under his leadership, the division experienced significant growth, and Richard played a key role in expanding Walsh’s operations into the Washington, D.C. market.

In 2008, Ric founded Path Construction Company, which has grown into a successful and diverse general contracting firm. With a steadfast commitment to quality, reliability, and accountability, Path Construction serves a wide range of industries. Today, the company employs over 100 professionals across five offices nationwide and continues to deliver exceptional construction solutions to clients across the country.
