This project at the University of Illinois at Chicago involved a complete renovation of the building envelope, highlighted by the replacement of six aging roofs. The work enhanced the facility’s structural integrity, energy performance, and appearance while supporting the university’s critical healthcare operations. Interior renovations were also completed to modernize occupied hospital areas and maintain a safe, functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Extensive planning and phased construction allowed the project team to complete work within active hospital spaces with minimal disruption. The project was closely coordinated with a concurrent mechanical upgrade to maintain operations and optimize scheduling. Through thoughtful execution and durable material selection, the renovation strengthened the facility’s long-term performance, energy efficiency, and overall user experience.
