The design-bid-build project for the new Alumni Hall Room at Northeastern Illinois University was executed while the building remained fully operational, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing activities. The comprehensive scope of work included a range of key upgrades and enhancements. Demolition of existing structures made way for new installations, while expert carpentry work provided the foundation for advanced features. Acoustical wall panels were installed to optimize sound quality, complemented by motorized operable wall partitions that offer flexibility in room configuration. The project also featured a gypsum soffit and wool slat ceiling, creating a modern and aesthetically pleasing environment. Electrical updates included installing a new lighting system, data infrastructure, and a media package to support various technological needs. Additionally, the scope covered HVAC system upgrades and enhancements to fire protection systems, ensuring a comfortable and safe space for all users.
